wear, dress和put on用法區別,都是「穿戴」,簡單但容易用錯

早上起來第一件事就是穿衣服，穿上衣服後，我們一般一整天就穿著這套衣服了，到晚上睡覺才會脫掉它們。

很簡單，是不是？但是在英語裡，穿戴往往要用不同的詞彙，而且在使用時，還比較容易出錯。

01put on

put on是「穿上，戴上」，它表示穿衣服這個動作。後面必須有賓語。

My mother put on her coat and went out.

我媽媽穿上外套出去了。

He put on his best clothes for the party.

他爲晚會穿上了最好的衣服。

The workers on the construction site should put on their safety helmets before starting to work.

施工現場的工人在開始工作前應戴上安全帽。

She put on her lipstick and brushed her hair.

02wear

wear(wore, worn)是身上「穿著，戴著」，不是具體的動作，必須有賓語。

He always wears a shirt and tie.

他總是穿襯衫打領帶。

She is wearing a red hat.

她戴著一頂紅帽子。

She wore a single strand of pearls around her neck.

她脖子上戴著一串珍珠。

She was wearing the perfume that he'd bought her.

她噴了他給她買的香水。

03dress

dress做動詞的用法最複雜。

dress可以是「穿衣服」，不及物動詞，沒有賓語：

Dress properly in an interview.

面試時穿著要得體。

You do not need to dress up for the ball.

你不必特意盛裝參加舞會。

Eat to please thyself, but dress to please others.

吃是使自己受用，穿是使別人受用。

dress也可以是「給……穿衣服」，及物動詞，後面賓語爲人。

Let's dress the kids or we'll never be on time.
